Grape pulp is the first intermediate product in the technology of wine and cognac production and is a mass of crushed grapes with skin, pulp, juice and seeds. Grape pulp belongs to food liquids that have a heterogeneous structure, which makes it important to choose the right pumping equipment.

As a rule, freshly harvested grapes are immediately fed into special crushers, where the ridges are separated and the skin of the grapes is crushed, resulting in pulp, which is transported to a fermentation vat, then to pressing and storage.

At the stage of pumping the pulp after the crusher into the fermentation vat, Elastotek LLC offers to consider specialized pumping equipment of its own production. This is a screw pump that is installed directly under the crusher and can supply the pulp at considerable distances from the place of loading.

Elastotek LLC also designed and put into operation a pump for loading/unloading wine materials from fermentation tanks, road and railroad tanks. Its main feature is a mobile design, i.e. the ability to move the pump between tanks and their sequential loading/unloading.

Advantages:

  • Absence of pulsation (the most uniform fluid delivery among all positive displacement pumps)
  • Pumping of liquids containing solids (impurities and abrasives)
  • The presence of a screw feeder allows almost complete cleaning of the receiving hopper from the pumped product
  • Pressure does not depend on pump speed, meaning performance regulation and quite precise product dosing are possible
  • Silent operation
  • Easy maintenance
