A screw screw pump or single screw pump with screw feeder is a type of positive displacement pump that is used for pumping heterogeneous masses or liquids with low fluidity. Examples of such liquids are: cheese, minced meat or chopped meat, tomato paste 35-38%, brewer’s grains, pulp, confectionery fillings, fat, dough, etc.

The screw feeder, with this design, helps the pump’s working body (screw pair) to capture a sufficient amount of the pumped product, and the latter, in turn, delivers the product to the discharge point. Since a screw pump is a volumetric pump, it is quite capable of dosing such masses quite accurately, which puts it a step above other types of pumps.

Advantages:

  • Absence of pulsation (most uniform liquid delivery among all volumetric pumps);
  • Compact size compared to conveyors;
  • Gentle delivery without product damage;
  • Transfer of liquids with solids content (impurities and abrasives);
  • Uniform liquid delivery with constant pressure;
  • Quiet operation;
  • Ease of maintenance.

Materials:

  • Flow part: Steel 20, AISI 304, AISI 316.
  • Stator: EPDM, NBR, Viton.
  • Sealing: gland seal, mechanical single and two-stage with the option to install a flushing block.
